PHARMACY
Pharmacy is conveniently located in the ground floor and to the right of the entrance to hospital, where patients can buy the drugs prescribed by the consultants without having to go outside. It is well stocked and caters to the need for a wide spectrum of ophthalmic drugs. Drugs are sold at subsidized rates.
Drugs are sourced only from the approved suppliers and manufacturers. The approved manufacturers possess a WHO-GMP certification for their facilities. Pharmacy has adequate storage facilities such as refrigerators, freezers, etc. to preserve the shelf life of the drugs.
Our optical shop is located in the ground floor and to the right of the entrance to hospital. We have got a variety of frames sunglasses, safety eye wear, etc. where the patients are given professional and expert guidance guided on the choice of frame and lens, according to the personality and needs. They are comfortable to wear and easy to use. The optical services within the hospital ensure the exact fitting of your glasses.
We ensure the availability of our quality spectacles to the community through outreach camps. These spectacles are provided at an affordable price and are fitted and dispensed on the spot. Free spectacles are provided to the children who are screened during school screening program in Bangalore rural and Bangalore urban. Please feel free to approach our staff for any enquiry or guidance. A wide range of sunglasses are also available. Post-operative dark glasses can also be purchased here.
AMBULANCE SERVICE
Ambulance Service, an integral and dynamic part of the B. W. Lions Eye Hospital with its specially trained, emergency service, reaches patients in the shortest time period. Treatment conditions are given continuously between the places of the patient to the ambulance. We are committed to providing high quality clinical care and health related transport services.
Our current fleet of vehicles includes:
• 3 ambulances (stretcher carrying vehicles)
• Approx 3 support vehicles
• We have one dedicated ambulance for Eyebank which is used during eyeball collection.
Canteen
Our hygienic Canteen within the hospital ensures healthy food to the patients and to the attendants. It provides South Indian dishes with additional touch of north, east & west Indian food items. Fresh fruit juices are also available. It is located on the ground floor near the outpatient area and functions from 8 am to 6 pm.
