Vitrectomy:
If there is a lot of blood in the centre of the eye (vitreous gel), a surgery called vitrectomy may be necessary to restore the eye sight. A vitrectomy is performed under either local or general anesthesia. Here a tiny incision is made and small instruments are used to remove the vitreous gel that is clouded with blood.
